On Sunday, 26 May 2024, the Somali Research and Education Network (SomaliREN) awarded the certificate of membership to the Somali Public Agenda (SPA) at the SPA office in Mogadishu, officially admitting SPA into SomaliREN members.
The SomaliREN is a non-profit organization owned by its member institutions and dedicated to establishing and maintaining e-infrastructures for Somali higher education and research institutions.
SPA became the 29th member and 2nd research-dedicated institution in the association. The admission process had been partially approved by the SomaliREN Council during their annual meeting in February 12, 2024. The process was concluded with the official membership of SPA into the association after ascertaining that SPA fully satisfied all the membership criteria.

It aims to advance understanding and improvement of public policy and services in Somalia through evidence-based research and analysis, dialogue, policy and service design, and training.
